Exterior Preparation

(Prep)

Upper Deck Painting will visually inspect the house or building that needs painting to determine the effort it will take for a for a smooth new surface to be painted. Proper paint preparation not only makes the paint stick. It is what makes the smooth even finish for a beautiful paint job. This is a procedure that Upper Deck Painting is very famliar with as we have painted hundreds of Home and buildings through out the allmost 40 years that we have been in business.

Pressure Washing the Outside.

(Prep step #1)

Upper Deck Painting will Power/Pressure Wash the structure's exterior to remove dirt, loose paint and debris. This is an important step that we use prior to the up comming resufacing.


Scrape, Wire Brush and Sand Paint

(Prep Step #2)

Upper Deck will scrape any chipping paint and uneven surfaces as well as wire brush and sand any remaing loose paint after pressure washing the structure.


Caulk Windows, Doors and Trim

(Prep Step #3)

Upper Deck will use premium Siliconized Acrylic Latex Caulk to caulk around all window trim, doors and accent trim.


Mask/Cover all Non Painted Surfaces.

(Prep Step #4)

We will mask/cover and protect all non painted surfaces from spilled paint of over spray.


Prime New or Bare Wood. Patch & Seal

(Prep Step #5)

Upper Deck will prime new or bare wood and patch & seal any existing cracks prior to applying a fresh coat of quality paint.


Apply Fresh Coat of Paint

(Painting Begins)

Upper Deck Painting will then Brush, Spray and Roll the exterior with top quality paint.
